We are the Champions!
Our Girls' Three Pitch team captured the Brant County Championships yesterday by defeating Burford 14-6 in the final game. The girls won all five games they played. They won their Pool Division at Joseph Brant School with scores of:
10-0 over Joseph Brant
16-9 over Onondaga Brant
12-2 over Fairview
In the semi-final game they won 8-5 over Bethel.
All of the girls were 'awesome' ambassadors of J.C.Hill, not only in their athletic abilities on the field, but also by their display of good sportsmanship and team support. The girls did not give up despite a few injuries. "Way to go ladies!"
A special thanks is extended to all the parents, grandparents and other fans who came out to watch the games. An extra special thanks is extended to Ginger Smith who was our scorekeeper and to Scott Jamieson, who was our first base coach.
Good luck to the boys' team on Thursday.
