Gus the Germ and the GermBusters
Gus the Germ returned today to teach us about the importance of healthy habits.
Three of our students fought off the germ by washing their hands properly.
Monday
Today we had a presentation from Gus the Germ in the morning. This was followed by an introduction to Unit 3 for math. For those student who have all of their work in, they got a Halloween work package. For those who owe work, they have time to get it in. For History the 8-3 class made their own Indian Act. Tomorrow is the trip to the GREAT building.

Brant County Soccer Chumpions
Here's our awesome soccer team,
competing at Brant County for the first time since I started teaching.
They were a fun group of youth to coach, and even though we
didn't score a goal, I'd take them back to the tournament all over again.

McMaster Computer Science Visits
Dr. Christopher Anand from McMaster's Computer Science department, along with two of his students, Curtis and Tanya, came to give our students workshops on coding using ELM and other iPad activities. The tutorials are free and online and can be found by visiting the McMaster website here. Once on the website, select MENU and then TUTORIALS to access them all. As you can tell from the photos, the students were seriously into their learning.
