SPELLING BEE RESULTS

Six Nations held its annual Spelling Bee at the Woodland Cultural Centre on Friday, April 20th. Ryanna M placed 1st in the intermediate category, with
Kylie M placing 2nd. Lydia N also had a very strong showing. Congratulations to these girls for not only placing, but participating and practising for this event. Thanks to Mrs. Jamieson for your expert coaching.

April 20/07

Badminton Results- Regional Competition

J.C. Hill students had an excellent showing at this tournament. Thanks to Shyanna G and Kaylin P for stepping in to help out.

Congratulations to Marvin V and Mitch G who went undefeated to capture the boys doubles championship, and Stu M and Brier J who lost one game, to come in 2nd in this division.

Hoa:dais M blew the competition away to come in 2nd in boys singles. These 5 students advance to the Brant County Tournament at B.C.I. on May 3rd, starting at 4 p.m.

Coming in 4th were Lucas S and Sarah G in mixed doubles and Taylor B and Ryanna M in girls doubles.

Shyanna G , Kari H and John M. all did well in the singles category, as did Justin W. and Brittney L. in the mixed doubles and Kaylin P and Ranndi M in girls doubles.

Thanks to all the parents for car pooling and staying until 10:00 pm to cheer on our team.

McKinnon Park Secondary School Shadow Day

J.C. Hill students attending MPSS for grade 9 have the opportunity to shadow a student on Friday, April 20, 2007. Letters were sent home today, and everyone seems pretty excited about this opportunity. Good luck in finding a "shadow". If there is a problem, let us know at J.C. Hill.

Badminton Tournament
Congratulations to the J.C. Hill Badminton team- They won 8 out of the possible 15 awards in yesterday's tournament at O.M.S.-K. The team not only displayed athletic skill, but also great sportsmanship and behaviour throughout the day.

Football Fever


ATTENTION All Grade 8 Boys. Come join us every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday starting April 17th for some Spring Football training from 3:15 to 5:00 on the Hurricane football field here at HSS.

Let's get a jump on next season and take a run at the championship. Basic football skills and positional skills will be our focus. All grade 8 boys are welcome. Parents are encouraged to come and watch.
