Film Opportunity




















i don't usually like to post "advertisements" and the like, but i know that there are a number of talented dramatic students that i am now teaching, or have taught, and i encourage you all to take a chance on something like this. Just the learning experience alone is worth the effort.

OPEN CALL FOR FIRST NATIONS ACTORS FEATURE FILM “Kissed By Lightning”

Kissed By Lightning Productions Inc are currently in the process of casting for a beautiful, heartwarming film script written by First Nations film maker Shelly Niro. If you think you might be right for one of the roles below, please send a recent picture, contact info and either a resume or short letter describing why you would be a great addition to this movie! Auditions will take place during the week of January 12th, 2009.

NATIVE BOY – 11- 14, to play the role of “Zeus” a first Nations boy living on the Six Nations Reserve. A normal kid who likes hockey, his dog, and music, especially the piano. Acting experience an asset but not essential.

NATIVE GIRL – 14 TO 17 YRS to play the role of “Petunia” a First Nations teen who loves Pow-Wow dancing. A typical teenager, she can sometimes be a brat. Acting experience an asset but not essential.

OLDER NATIVE WOMEN – 62-80 yrs to play the role of “Josephine” or “Mrs. King”. Practical, down to earth, good-hearted. Acting experience, story telling, teaching, or public speaking would be an asset for these roles.
