MS Update 3

First, the bad news. Unfortunately, due to the limited number of participants, the MS Dance is cancelled for tomorrow. It just did not seem reasonable to hold a dance for the 25 students that brought in money. Even if a significant number of students returned their envelopes tomorrow, it still wouldn't warrant a school wide dance.

MS envelopes and money should still come in tomorrow and will still be collected. Each student received an envelope and should return it, whether they got sponsors or not.

Now, for the good news. Students who raised over $20 will still be rewarded and are still eligible for the pizza party and individual prizes. We briefly discussed possible rewards at the staff meeting last night, and what we have in mind as an alternative award is actually much better than a dance, if you ask me. Thanks to everyone who participated. It’s too bad we did not have a greater participation rate. Hopefully a whole bunch of envelopes come in tomorrow!!!

The current standings after today remains unchanged from yesterday, but it was neck and neck and neck, all day with every new envelope resulting in a lead change. The top 3 classes jockeying for position are:

3. Mrs. Martin's Class
2. Mr. Sowden's Class
1. Mrs. Sloan's Class

There is a slim margin of an 18 cent average separating first and second. All three classes have about 5 students who have brought their envelopes in. Great work 7-1, 7-2, and 8-2!!
